Web design – starting from the end

This may sound like a very strange statement, but web design sometimes you need to start at the finished product and work backwards. What this means is you need to consider what the end result needs to be. How should the website look and what functionality is required in order for it to function correctly for your users?

Once you have the answers to these questions you can then start to work backwards to work out how to integrate all of these in to the client’s website design. With web design it often takes a number or changes and tweaks to get it exactly how the client wants it. Once you have all the elements in place, you will need to jig them around until they fit in the correct place and look right on the screen.

Once you have a clear design signed off, you can start the task of developing the website in your chosen format, but be sure to test it all vigorously prior to setting it live.
